"Most Boring Thing I have ever been through"- Kevin Pietersen brutally trolls KL Rahul's slow batting in Powerplay
KL Rahul is the only player in the ongoing tournament who has scored almost 600 runs in the last four editions of the Indian Premier League. But his current form seems to be a bit rusty, and he hasn't found a way to get going.

He has scored few runs, but still, his slow approach and strike rate have come under the scanner, and a number of former players and cricket pundits have questioned his slow approach in the power play.

Lucknow Super Giants took on the Rajasthan Royals in the 26th game of the tournament on Wednesday in Jaipur. RR won the toss and decided to bat first. LSG had a pretty slow start, with both openers adding just 37 runs in the power play. Trent Boult started the first inning with a maiden over to Rahul.

Former English star Kevin Pietersen, who was on air that time, didn't seem happy with Rahul's approach and said, "Watching KL Rahul bat is the most boring thing I have ever been through."

Rahul got out in the 11th over of the inning, and it was Jason Holder who got his wicket. The LSG skipper made 39 off 32, with four boundaries and one six, for a strike rate of 121.88. Kyle Mayers scored a half-century and made 51 off 42, with three sixes and four boundaries.

Marcus Stoinis (21 off 16) and Nicholas Pooran (29 off 20) made small contributions in the middle. As a result, LSG reached a respectable total of 154/7 in the first inning. It didn't look like a challenging total against the strong RR batting lineup.

In fact, Rajasthan had a brilliant start, and both openers added 87 runs in 11.3 overs. But as soon as that partnership was broken, RR lost four wickets for just 17 runs. In the end, RR only managed 144/6 and lost the game by 10 runs. This was the lowest total defended by any team in the IPL 2023.
