"MS Dhoni is my idol; learnt from him..."- International superstar reveals golden words from "idol" MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni is arguably the best Indian captain that India has ever produced in the game of cricket. He is the only captain in history to win the ODI World Cup, the T20 World Cup, and the Champions Trophy during his captaincy, which makes him different from others.

Not just at international level but even in the Indian Premier League, MS Dhoni has shown the magic of his captaincy by leading his IPL franchise, the Chennai Super Kings, to four IPL titles and two Champions League wins.

He has been the idol of many young cricketers, and many players admire him and look upto him as a true inspiration. As a captain, his success is unparalleled, and a number of youngsters wish to play under him. One such cricketer is Afghanistan's wicketkeeper, Najibullah Zadran.

The 29-year-old has been a key member for Afghanistan in the international arena. He has played 82 ODIs and 85 T20Is for his country. He is currently involved in the inaugural edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the UAE and is part of the MI Emirates in the tournament.

In a recent conversation, Zadran revealed how he looks up to MS Dhoni and how the former Indian captain has influenced him in his career. He also revealed about MS Dhoni's words during his small interaction during the 2015 ODI World Cup.

Zadran said, “I regard Dhoni as my idol. No one can finish an innings like he used to do. I learnt from him. I spoke to Dhoni at the 2015 World Cup, where he told me to just keep calm and believe in myself even in high-pressure situations. I still believe and follow that advice."

Notably, the 2015 ODI World Cup was the first time that Afghanistan played in this ICC event. They registered their only win against Scotland in that tournament. Dhoni was leading the Indian side, which advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.

But they lost to Australia in the semi-final. Meanwhile, Dhoni's last international appearance also came in the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup, when India lost to New Zealand. After his retirement from international cricket, MS Dhoni only plays for CSK in the IPL.
