"Keep speaking to Dhoni sir and Virat bhai.."- Yashasvi Jaiswal on his improvement in the IPL

On Thursday, Rajasthan Royals registered their second win over the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings in the 16th edition of the IPL. It was yet another 200-plus contest, with the first team posting a 200 above target and the second team failing to chase it.

After winning the toss, Rajasthan decided to bat first and made 202/5 in the first inning. Both openers added 86 runs for the first wicket in 8.2 overs. But it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who was the aggressor in the partnership. Jos Buttler managed 27 off 21, while Jaiswal scored a 26-ball half-century.

He made 77 off 43, with eight fours and four maximums. Dhruv Jurel (34 off 15) and Devdutt Padikkal (27* off 13) also played brilliant cameos to take their team past the 200-run mark. It proved to be more than enough for CSK, as they fell short by 32 runs.

Jaiswal was named "Man of the Match" for his excellent inning for RR at the top. After the win, the RR opener credited senior Indian players like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and said that he kept on talking to them about improving the game.

In the post-match presentation, "It is not about just this season, I have been putting in the effort with the team management and I keep speaking to senior players like Dhoni sir and Virat bhai."

He also said that his plan was to keep the strike rate up in the inning, because a target of 200 was par on the pitch. It was also the 200th IPL game for RR in the IPL, and they made it special with a win. Earlier, they defeated CSK by three runs and won their second game of the season.

This win gave RR two important points, and they moved to the top of the points table with 10 points and a NRR of +0.939. Meanwhile, CSK slipped to third place after the loss. RR will play their next game against the Mumbai Indians on April 30.
