The Indian cricket team is set to take on the New Zealand cricket team in an upcoming home series, that will consist of 3 T20 Internationals and after that, the 2 Test matches to be played in Kanpur and in Mumbai.

And before even the series kick-off, the Indian cricket fans got a good news as the Maharashtra Government has reportedly given green signal to Maharashtra Cricket Association to allow 100% seating capacity for the 2nd Test in Mumbai.

Recently, a source confirmed to news agency ANI that the Maharashtra Government has given the nod to Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) to allow full capacity for the 2nd Test.

The source also added that a preparatory camp will be held in MCA's Bandra Kurla Complex to give the players the chance to prepare themselves. Players such as Shubman Gill, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha, Mayank Agarwal and Umesh Yadav will be part of the camp, as per the source.

India vs New Zealand series will kick-off from the November 17th with the T20Is being played first from 17th till 21st November.

After that, India and New Zealand will meet for the 2 Test matches. It will be first time that these 2 teams will playing a Test match after New Zealand defeated India in the World Test Championship Final in June.

The first Test will be played from 25th November till 29th November in Kanpur's Green Park Stadium. The 2nd Test, which will be part of the World Test Championship 2021-2023 cycle, will be played from the 3rd December till 7th December in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Ajinkya Rahane will be leading the team in the first Test in absence of some of the top pros, who have been given a rest for the series. Virat Kohli, however, will return to take over the captaincy duties from Rahane for the 2nd Test match.
