Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson recently led the Kerala cricket team in the 2021/22 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Samson failed to receive a place in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and the home T20I series against New Zealand.

He posted a cryptic tweet after missing out on a place in the Indian squad. Sanju Samson’s Twitter activity gained many headlines, and now Samson is in the headlines once again, but for a great work done by him.

According to a report by Onmanorama, Kerala footballer Adarsh sought help from Saji Cherain, Chengannur MLA, and Minister of Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Affairs, to raise funds for his trip to Spain.

Adarsh has reportedly earned an opportunity to train Deportivo La Vergne del Camino, a third division league in Spain. The program is of one month, and Sanju Samson has sponsored his tickets to Spain.

Karakkode Leo Club raised INR 50,000, and the minister provided the remaining amount. Here’s what Cherain wrote in his Facebook post:

“It was a week ago that a young man named Adarsh, a resident of Mannar Kuttampoor, came to see me. A graduate student of Thiruvalla Marthoma College, he is a brilliant football player. Adarsh has got a big opportunity, but he was worried that he will lose that opportunity because of financial problems.”
