Suryakumar Yadav is not sure if the reports about IPL 2022 Mega Auction are true. Many fans would know by now that a report has emerged claiming that all teams will only be able to retain a maximum of four players before the mega auction.

Shedding some more rules stated in that report, the teams will have permission to retain a maximum of three Indian players. The combination of four retained players could either be three Indian players and one overseas player, or two Indian players and two foreign players.

If Mumbai Indians are allowed to retain a maximum of three Indian players from their squad, then they might have to release Suryakumar Yadav. The reason behind it is that the Mumbai-based franchise has many star Indian players in their squad.

In the opinion of many fans, the Mumbai Indians will likely retain the trio of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya are also worthy of being retained.

What Suryakumar Yadav thinks about IPL 2022 Mega Auction reports

Suryakumar Yadav, who is currently in Sri Lanka with the rest of the Indian squad, commented on IPL 2022 Mega Auction. He made it clear that his focus is on the India vs Sri Lanka series.

“Not really. I think this news came yesterday. We are still trying to find out if it’s true or no. But yeah when you play for India the emotion is completely different. I think when you play for India, you don’t think about anything else. You are representing your country..the feeling is completely different so, at that time, you can’t think about what’s happening back home. So everyone is really focused and raring to go,” he said.

It will be exciting to see how Suryakumar Yadav performs in the India vs Sri Lanka series. Also, MI fans will be excited to see which three Indian players are retained.
