Virender Sehwag teases playing Test cricket for India after many players suffer injuries

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has had a unique reaction to the current injuries in the Indian camp. The retired Indian cricketer has teased coming out of retirement and playing the final Test for the Indian cricket team.

Many fans would know that the Indian cricket team has lost many players due to injuries in the ongoing Australian tour. Jasprit Bumrah has become the latest addition to the list as the right-arm quick is unlikely to play in the final Test match.

With Hanuma Vihari also injured and Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the series, there is some speculation that the Indian cricket team might not even have 11 players to play the final Test. It seems like India could include their net bowlers to complete a match squad.

Virender Sehwag posted a picture on Instagram, which had the news of many Indian players being ruled out due to injuries. Sehwag took this in a lighter note and stated that he was ready to fly to Australia and he will even take care of the quarantine rules so that the authorities allow him to play at the Gabba.

Here’s what Sehwag wrote in the caption of his post:

“Itne sab players injured hain , 11 na ho rahe hon toh Australia jaane ko taiyaar hoon, quarantine dekh lenge.” (So many players are injured. If you can form a playing XI, I am ready to come to Australia, I will take care of the quarantine rules).

Virender Sehwag played his last game in the 2020 Road Safety World Series. While it is impossible that Sehwag would take the field again for India in the Brisbane Test, the opener looked in fine nick during his appearance for the Indian Legends team.

The fans have loved Sehwag’s hilarious post as the Instagram post has gained over 100,000 likes in no time.
