Watch: Pretorius and Gaikwad combined to take a breathtaking catch at boundary line vs MI; Fans go Crazy
The Chennai bowlers did a brilliant job upfront and didn't let the MI batters get away easily. Mumbai had a little partnership of 38 runs for the first wicket between Rohit Sharma (21 off 13) and Ishan Kishan (32 off 21).
But once that partnership got broken, MI lost wickets at regular intervals. From 64/1, MI lost their next four wickets for just 12 runs and were at 76/5 in 9.1 overs. Tushar Deshpande took the first wicket and dismissed the MI skipper.
But after that, both CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner took two wickets each. The four-time champions kept bowling in a tight line, and their fielding was also remarkable. CSK grabbed two stunners in the game, which could be the "catch of the tournament."
However, the catch of the game came when Dwaine Pretorius and Ruturaj Gaikwad pulled off an incredible catch at the boundary line to dismiss Tristan Stubbs. It took place on the final ball of the 16th over, when Sisanda Magala bowled a slower ball and Stubbs tried to hit the ball for a six.
He mistimed the shot, and it went up in the air. Pretorius, who was fielding at the long-off boundary, caught the ball and scooped it up in the air in fear of touching the boundary cushion. However, he was lucky that Gaikwad was near him, and he completed the spectacular catch.
Team work at its best 🙌🏻

Speaking of the game, MI made 157/8 in their first inning. Tilak Verma (22) and Tim David (31) made small contributions. Jadeja ended up with a figure of 3/20. MI needs this win as they already lost their first game, while CSK has one win and one loss under their belt.
