Watch: Robin Uthappa Carries The Bats And Helmet Of MS Dhoni And Suresh Raina After The Game Against CSK

In a move that defines sportsmanship, Robin Uthappa was seen carrying the bat and helmets of MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina after the duo helped CSK cross the line against RCB. This is a great gesture considering he is a senior cricketer.

Although RCB started brilliantly, they were restricted to just 156 runs thanks to the excellent bowling by the CSK bowlers. The likes of AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell were unable to make use of the short boundaries as CSK bowlers were consistent and disciplined in their bowling. Hence, after the first innings, CSK had the game in their hands.

The openers of CSK, too, started well. They took on the bowlers of RCB, who were down on morale. However, after a few wickets started to fall, there were some nervy moments in the CSK camp. In the end, with both Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali back in the hut, there were doubts if CSK could complete the chase. However, in a vintage moment, both MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina used their experience to hand the victory to the team from Chennai.

He is a senior cricketer but Robin Uthappa showed why he is liked by many when he carried the bat and helmets of his team's tired batsmen after the game. It can be seen in the below video.

Uthappa was traded from Rajasthan Royals before the start of IPL 2022. He is a backup opening option apart from being the reserve for the likes of Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu. He has not got a game so far but Uthappa set an example of how a team-man can be. If CSK qualifies to the playoffs soon, Robin could also get a game to show his skills.
