Watch: Things get heated in MI vs KKR game; Nitish Rana charges at MI Spinner Hrithik Shokeen; Suryakumar intervenes
Sunday saw two former IPL champions facing each other at one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Kolkata Knight Riders took on the Mumbai Indians in the 22nd game of the Indian Premier League.

Though the biggest rivalry in the IPL is considered to be between MI and CSK, but KKR and MI have also shared some intense moments since the start of the IPL in 2008. Thus, the players from both teams play with intensity when they face each other.

The game between KKR and MI is underway, which is the 32nd time these two teams have faced each other in the history of the Indian Premier League. It produced a heated moment between KKR skipper Nitish Rana and MI spinner Hrithik Shokeen before stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav had to come in between.

The incident took place in the ninth over of the first inning. MI won the toss and elected to bat first. It was Suryakumar Yadav who came for toss in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Rana tried to hit the ball for maximum and stepped down the track.

He mistimed the shot, and the ball went in the air. Ramandeep Singh, who was fielding at the boundary line, took an easy catch. Rana got out for 5 off 10 and looked angry at his dismissal. But as he was going back, Hrithik had a go at him, which triggered the KKR skipper, and he charged at the bowler.

Both had some heated exchanges before Suryakumar came in and took Rana away. KKR made 185/6 in the first inning, courtesy of a brilliant century from Venkatesh Iyer. He became only the second KKR batter to score an IPL century, after Brendon McCullum in the first ever IPL game. Iyer made 104 off 51, with six fours and nine sixes.
