Bengaluru FC registered a win over NorthEast United on a rainy night in Goa as the blues scored 4 goals against NorthEast United, who scored 2 goals.

The Indian Super League 2021-2022 season has got off to a great start, as a total of 12 goals have been scored in the opening 2 fixture, after ATK Mohun Bagan vs Kerala Blasters also ended 4-2 in favour of home team ATK Mohun Bagan.

Bengaluru FC opened the scoring first as Brazilian Cleiton Silva scored the opener, however, just 3 minutes later, former Bengaluru FC player Deshorn Brown equalized for the Highlanders.

Bengaluru once again took the lead of a own goal from Mashoor Shereef, but Mathias Coureur, on his debut equalized again in just 3 minutes. Jayesh Rane gave the blues the lead once again before halftime. Prince Ibara added another goal in the 2nd half to make it 4-2 for Bengaluru FC.

It was NorthEast United who were keeping Bengaluru FC under pressure, getting opportunities after opportunities. And Deshorn Brown almost had put NorthEast on lead through a overhead bicycle kick.

Bengaluru FC scored the first goal of the match against the run of play as Cleiton Silva skipped passed the goalkeeper of a through ball from Udanta Singh, to put it at the back of the net.

NorthEast United came back in with a instant reply as Deshorn Brown put a cross of VP Suhair into the back of the net. However, Bengaluru took the lead again as Mashoor Shereef scored a own goal while trying to clear it.

NorthEast United didn't took much time again as debutant Mathias Coureur scored the 2nd goal for the Highlanders. Jayesh Rane put the Bengalore based team upfront again as he scored from the edge of the box.

Both team went into the half-time break with Bengaluru FC leading by 3 goals to 2. The second half was more about end to end football, but domination from Bengaluru FC.

It was proving to be very tough for either of the teams to score a goal. The game was put to bed by the substitute Prince Ibara who was making his ISL debut, as he scored the 4th goal for Bengaluru FC, getting in behind a long ball from Alan Costa and finished it off near post.

With that, Bengaluru FC is now joint top of the league table with ATK Mohun Bagan with 3 points. Bengaluru FC will now next take on Odisha FC on the 24th of November while the next day, NorthEast United will take on Kerala Blasters.
