Mumbai City FC vs Hyderabad FC Indian Super League 2021-2022 result

Hyderabad FC shocked the defending Indian Super League champions Mumbai City FC in match number 10 of the Indian Super League 2021-2022 season.

Even after taking the lead early on, Mumbai City FC conceded 3 goals against Hyderabad FC as the Nizams hands the ISL defending champions their first defeat of the season.

It was Ahmed Jahouh scored on the 6th minute of the match to give the Islanders their opening goal of the match. Hyderabad FC opened the scoring with captain Joao Victor converting a penalty kick. Ogbeche gave them the lead in the 2nd half, while youngster Rohit Danu scored the 3rd goal to wrap it off.

Mumbai City FC, even though looked great, they just failed to convert their chances, while Hyderabad FC did.

Mumbai City FC started the early attack, giving Hyderabad FC a early blow at the 6th minute, when Ahmed Jahouh charging in inside the box, collects the ball and shoots it past the goalkeeper.

Hyderabad FC was looking the better side before the goal, and they continued to do so as they found the equalizer at the 13th minute. Joel Chianese was fouled inside the box and Hyderabad captain Joao Victor stepped up to convert it to make it 1-1.

It was then end to end football till the whistle for the end of the first half. Hyderabad FC started really well in the 2nd half as former Mumbai City FC player Bartholomew Ogbeche scored the 2nd goal for Hyderabad FC as the Nigerian strikers tucked in a low cross by Aniket Jadhav.

Mumbai City FC worked hard, however, their main man upfront Igor Angulo got very less opportunities, while Hyderabad's defence was in great shape as well.

Young striker Rohit Danu finished things off with a brilliant goal at the 82nd minute of the match. Javi Siverio slid the ball to the right-hand side and Rohit Danu was just there to beat Mohammad Nawaz at the near post.

The match ended 1-3 in favour of Hyderabad FC. As a result of which, the Nizams registered their first win of the season while Mumbai lost their 1st of the season. Mumbai City FC now finds themselves 4th in the league table, while Hyderabad FC is just below them.
