It is just barely 3 days left before the season eight of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) begins on the 22nd of December after a hiatus of a year when the tournament was not held in 2020.

Indians' one of the most favourite sport and league, the Pro Kabaddi League is all set to make its return after a gap of a year. The India's premier Kabaddi League was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much like other sports.

But it is back with season eight of the competition this year that begins from the 22nd of December. This year, the league promises to be much more exciting and set to deliver many surprises to the fans.

And one of such surprise is that, for the first time in the history of the league, a father and son duo will be playing in the league, and not only that, they will be playing for the same team.

While we have seen many family members play in the league, the likes of Chillar cousins, Narwal brothers, Dharmaraj brothers or Desai brothers, but it has never been a father son duo.

Dabang Delhi's Joginder Narwal and his son Vinay Narwal is the first ever father son duo in the Pro Kabaddi League's history.

Vinay Narwal is set to make his Pro Kabaddi League debut this season after the nation's capital team, the Dabang Delhi picked him up as part of the New Young Players (NYP) quota.

The 19-year-old Vinay Narwal will hope to make his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut as soon as possible, and what better way than playing with your father, who is also the captain of the team. Vinay would hope to learn a lot from his father as he will play under the watchful eyes of his idol.

Like his son, Joginder Narwal is also a defender. The 39-year-old Joginder Narwal has been appointed the captain of the Dabang Delhi side. He has been playing in the league since the 2nd season with the Bengaluru Bulls. He then played for Puneri Paltan and U Mumba before joining the Delhi based Dabang Delhi side.

Dabang Delhi will open their Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2021-2022 campaign against the Puneri Paltan on the 23rd of December, which will be the day's 2nd match.
