PKL 2021: Bengal Warriors Full Squad after Pro Kabaddi League Auction
The exciting three days of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League player auction is over, and all the teams are now set and ready for the beginning of season 8 of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League.
Today in this article, we will look at the entire squad of the defending champions Bengal Warriors after three days of PKL Auction 2021.
Bengal Warriors retained four players going into the player auction, Rinku Narwal, Ravindra Ramesh Kumawat, and their captains from the last season Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh and Maninder Singh.
The franchise's first move in the Pro Kabaddi League player auction was the defender Abozar Mohajer Mighani, whom they bought for 30.5 Lakh INR.
Abozar Mohajer Mighani has been playing in the Pro Kabaddi League from season 5 and has featured in a total of three seasons. Abozar Mohajer Mighani has roped up a total of 162 points in his three seasons so far, of which 160 are tackle points, which proves the caliber that the Iranian defender will bring to the Bengal side.
The franchise refrained from buying any category A players as they managed to keep hold of the team's core before going into the player auction.
They also retained the services of their most experienced raider Sukesh Hedge through FBM (Final Bid Match) card for 30 Lakh INR. Sukesh Hedge made his debut for Bengal Warriors last season and managed to rack up 63 total points. Experienced raider Rishank Devadiga has also been brought in for his base price of 20 lakh.
Bengal Warriors spent 4.20 crore INR from the total purse of 4.40 crore INR, including the retained players. Their most significant buy this player auction is the defender from Iran, Abozar Mohajer Meghani.
