January 3, 2022 had two thrilling Pro Kabaddi League matches in store for the entire kabaddi universe. The first match featured the inaugural PKL winners Jaipur Pink Panthers and last season’s champions Bengal Warriors, while the second match featured fan favourite teams Patna Pirates and Telugu Titans. 

As expected, both matches entertained the fans a lot. Both matches were decided in the final minute. Speaking of the match between the Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Bengal Warriors, the Kolkata-based franchise won by 31-28 after a super tackle from their Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh in the buzzer raid of the match. 

The next match also went down to the wire, and despite taking a decent first half, the Patna Pirates ultimately managed to win it by a single point only. Telugu Titans continued to remain winless in PKL 2021-22 as they suffered a 30-31 defeat at the hands of the three-time champions.
