Pro Kabaddi League 2022 Best Raider, Best Defender: Most Raid Points, Most Tackle Points (Updated) as on Jan 4

January 4, 2022 had another double-header in store for the Pro Kabaddi League fans on the planet. The Haryana Steelers locked horns with Fazel Atrachali’s U Mumba in the opening match of the night, while in the second match, Pardeep Narwal’s UP Yoddha clashed with the Tamil Thalaivas.

Like almost every game in PKL 8, both matches went down to the wire yesterday and the first match ended without producing a winner as both Haryana Steelers and U Mumba scored 24 points in their allotted 40 minutes time.

The second match was not so close, but UP Yoddha teased a comeback in the final minutes thanks to Pardeep Narwal’s super raid. Eventually, Tamil Thalaivas won the match by a scoreline of 39-33.

Now that the two matches scheduled to happen on January 4, 2022 have ended, here’s a look at the updated raiders and defenders’ leaderboard in PKL 8.

Most Tackle Points in Pro Kabaddi League 2022

Haryana Steelers’ ankle hold specialist Surender Nada has become the new number one defender in the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 with 19 tackle points to his name. His teammate Jaideep is second with 18 tackle points.

Sumit could have overtaken them later in the night but the left-corner defender of UP Yoddha failed to score even a single tackle point.

Unlike the defenders’ leaderboard, there weren’t many changes on the raiders’ charts. Abhishek Singh and Vikas Kandola have entered the Top 7 again.

The top 5 raiders of PKL 8 continue to be Naveen Kumar, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Maninder Singh, Arjun Deshwal and V. Ajith Kumar. It will be interesting to see if there are any changes in the leaderboards tonight when the Puneri Paltan take on Gujarat Giants and the Telugu Titans battle Dabang Delhi KC.
