Pro Kabaddi League 2022 Best Raider, Best Defender: Most Raid Points, Most Tackle Points (Updated) as on Jan 5

The Pro Kabaddi League action continued in Bengaluru last night with two high-profile matches taking place behind closed doors at the Grand Sheraton hotel. The first match saw the Puneri Paltan take on the two-time runners-up Gujarat Giants, while the second match featured last season’s runners-up Dabang Delhi KC against the Telugu Titans. 

The fans got what they expected - two close matches. The Puneri Paltan team ended their losing streak in the PKL season with a 33-26 win over the Gujarat Giants team. Meanwhile, the Dabang Delhi KC franchise maintained their undefeated record this season with a one-point win against the Telugu Titans. 

Plenty of points were scored on January 5, 2022 in the eighth season of Pro Kabaddi League. Here’s a look at the updated raiders and defenders’ leaderboards after the match between the Telugu Titans and the Dabang Delhi KC.

Most Raid Points in Pro Kabaddi League 2022 

There was not a single change in the Top 6 of the raiders’ leaderboard after the two matches that took place on January 5, 2022. The number one raider is Naveen Kumar, who became the first player to score 100 raid points this season during the game against the Telugu Titans. 

Kumar scored 25 raid points - 15 touch points and 10 bonus points against the Titans to take his overall tally to 106 raid points. 

Most Tackle Points in Pro Kabaddi League 2022

Tamil Thalaivas’ defender Sagar is the number one name on the defenders’ leaderboard with 20 tackle points. Surender Nada, Surjeet Singh and Sumit are right behind him. 

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh is the most successful foreign defender in Pro Kabaddi League 2022. He will be in action later tonight when the Patna Pirates lock horns with the Tamil Thalaivas. It will be exciting to see which defender tops the standings after this match.
