Pro Kabaddi League 2022 Best Raider, Best Defender: Most Raid Points, Most Tackle Points (Updated) as on Jan 6

The 2021-22 edition of the Pro Kabaddi League entertained the fans last night in Bengaluru with a double-header contest featuring three-time champions Patna Pirates, season six winners Bengaluru Bulls and inaugural PKL champions Jaipur Pink Panthers along with Tamil Thalaivas who joined the tournament in 2017. 

The first match of the night ended in a tie, with both Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas scoring 30 points each in the stipulated 40 minutes time. The Thalaivas did not use the services of their tall raider Manjeet Dahiya in the match. 

The second game saw the Bengaluru Bulls register a confident win against the Jaipur Pink Panthers by a scoreline of 38-31. The Bulls captain Pawan Sehrawat shone for his team with a massive 18-point haul in the match. 

Now that the battle between the Bengaluru Bulls and the Jaipur Pink Panthers is done and dusted, here’s a look at the updated raiders and defenders’ leaderboards of PKL 8. 

Most Tackle Points in Pro Kabaddi League 2022 

The new number one defender in the PKL 8 season is Tamil Thalaivas captain PO Surjeet Singh, with 22 tackle points to his name. His teammate Sagar Rathee is right behind him, having scored 21 points this season. 

The most successful overseas player of the season so far Mohammadreza Chiyaneh holds the third position in the points table with 19 tackle points. 

Most Raid Points in Pro Kabaddi League 2022 

The top two raiders of PKL 8 continue to be Dabang Delhi KC star Naveen Express and the Hi-Flier Pawan Kumar Sehrawat. Naveen has already crossed the 100-raid points mark, while Pawan is right behind him with 90 raid points. 

There is a new name in the Top 3, and he is the raider from the Jaipur Pink Panthers - Arjun Deshwal who has 81 raid points.
