5 unsold players from IPL 2021 who can bag a deal at IPL Auction 2022

IPL Auction 2022 is the next big thing that the cricket universe is looking forward to. Fans from across the world are excited for IPL Auction 2022 because it will be a mega event, with ten teams participating. As per reports, the existing eight teams will have permission to retain a maximum of four players only.

The two new teams can sign a maximum of three players before the auction. So, with two new teams coming, there will be more spots for players in the IPL. The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 happened recently, and quite a few players got an opportunity to showcase their talents. There is a considerable chance that the following five players who went unsold in IPL 2021 Auction could bag a deal at the upcoming mega auction.

1. Matthew Wade

Matthew Wade received everyone's attention at T20 World Cup 2021 after he played a brilliant cameo in the semifinal match against Pakistan. Wade can keep the wickets as well and could be a match-winner for any of the teams in the upcoming IPL season.

2. Daryl Mitchell

New Zealand opener Daryl Mitchell also played a match-winning knock for his country in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals. Mitchell can open the innings and bowl medium-pace as well. It should not be a surprise if he earns his first IPL contract next year.

3. David Wiese

Namibian all-rounder David Wiese was excellent in both departments during the T20 World Cup 2021. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past and could return to the league again after going unsold in the previous auction.

4. Ish Sodhi

Former Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner Ish Sodhi was brilliant for New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Sodhi will look forward to continuing his form and impressing IPL franchises to return to the league.

5. Devon Conway

One more Kiwi player to feature on this list is Devon Conway. Surprisingly, Conway went unsold in IPL Auction 2021, but looking at his consistent performances in the shortest format of the game, Conway could well make his debut in IPL 2022.
