The T20 World Cup 2021 is just around the corner and the excitement is building up among the fans. The mega event was originally scheduled to be played in India in 2020. However, the Covid-19 pandemic led ICC to reschedule the tournament, which will now be hosted by United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

The T20 WC 2021 will commence from 17th October 2021. The teams have announced their squads for the global tournament and a few seasoned players are seen on the team list.

On that note, let's take a look at the players who will play their seventh T20 WC.

1. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is among the best T20 batters and has shown his value over the years with his exceptional performances. He has struck four centuries in T20Is, which is most by any batter. Rohit is going through an exceptional run with the bat and will aim to carry it in the mega-event.

He has been part of every T20 World Cup, right from 2007, in which India triumphed as the champions. In 28 T20 WC matches, Rohit has scored 673 runs at an average of around 40 and will be a great asset in the Indian batting lineup.

2. Dwayne Bravo

One of the veteran T20 all-rounders around the world, Dwayne Bravo will also feature in his seventh T20 WC. He is a superstar of the shortest format and has displayed his skills all over the world.

A two-time T20 WC winner, Bravo has been a key in West Indies' success in T20 cricket. He has scored 504 runs in 29 T20 WC games at a strike rate of 129.23. Also, he has grabbed 25 wickets at an average of 25.8 and an economy of around 9.

3. Chris Gayle

A legend of T20 cricket, Chris Gayle is set to feature in the T20 World Cup once again. With over 14000 runs in the shortest format, Gayle is no doubt the greatest ever T20 batter. His stats in the shortest format are impressive and beyond the reach of other batters.

In 29 T20 WC games, he has scored 920 runs at an average of around 40 and a strike rate of 140+. Gayle is the second-highest run-getter in the tournament- 96 runs behind Mahela Jayawardene. With this edition expected to be his last one, Gayle has the chance to climb up at the top spot.

4. Mahmudullah

Mahmudullah will be leading Bangladesh in the upcoming T20 WC 2021. He is an experienced campaigner and has been a key in the nation's success over the years. His al-round abilities backed by his expertise will be crucial in Bangladesh's future in the tournament.

In 22 T20 WC games, Mahmudullah has scored 194 runs and has picked eight wickets. He has a big responsibility on his shoulders to ensure a successful campaign for Bangladesh this season.

5. Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladesh will rely largely on Shakib Al Hasan's talent, as he competes in his seventh consecutive T20 World Cup. One of the best all-rounders of the modern era, Shakib has been the backbone of the Bangladesh side across all formats.

He has scored 567 runs in 25 T20 WC games at an average of around 30. Also, Shakib has picked up 30 wickets at an average of 19.53 and a brilliant economy of 6.64.

6. Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim, another Bangladeshi legend who will feature in his seventh consecutive T20 WC. Rahim has been a veteran of the nation with his leadership skills and immense contribution in the middle order. Despite his below-average run in the T20 WCs, Rahim brings loads of value into the team with his experience.

He has managed to score only 258 runs in 25 T20 WC games. With wicket-keeping responsibilities removed from his shoulders, Rahim has the chance to better his batting records in the mega-event.
