IPL 2021 Orange Cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad is leading the Maharashtra team in the 2021/22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Gaikwad has continued his brilliant form in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021/22, scoring three half-centuries in three matches.

2. Sanju Samson

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson is leading the Kerala cricket team in the 2021/22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Samson made his IPL captaincy debut in the 2021 edition of the league. He did a decent job and is likely to continue as the Rajasthan Royals captain in 2022 as well.

3. Jaydev Unadkat

Another Rajasthan Royals player to feature on this list is left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat. He played six matches for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League, scalping four wickets for his franchise. Unadkat is leading Saurashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy right now.

4. Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey captained the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last match of IPL 2021 against the Mumbai Indians. Pandey aggregated 292 runs in eight matches of the 2021 season for the Orange Army. He is the Karnataka team captain in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

5. KS Bharat

Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper batter KS Bharat came into the limelight during IPL 2021 with his brilliant batting. Bharat is the skipper of Andhra in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021/22.

6. Saurabh Tiwary

One of the most underrated batters of the 2021 IPL season, Saurabh Tiwary scored runs with consistency for the Mumbai Indians team. Tiwary has the responsibility of captaining the Jharkhand cricket team in the 2021/22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
