David Warner selects his all-time combined IPL XI; leaves out Yuvraj Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper, David Warner has continued the trend of picking all-times XIs during this Coronavirus pandemic as he has named his best combined IPL XI of all time featuring Indian and Australian players. Surprisingly, the squad does not feature star Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, and the most successful Indian spin bowler in IPL history, Amit Mishra. Also, he has showed some prejudice as he picked Mitchell Starc in the team despite the fact that he has not played much in the IPL.

Talking about the Indian players that he has selected in his team, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suresh Raina, the three gems of IPL are present in the top order with Thala MS Dhoni being the wicket-keeper and finisher of the team. Jasprit Bumrah will lead the team’s pace attack that even features Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling coach, Ashish Nehra.

Hardik Pandya is the sole Indian all-rounder in the team, and since there was only one Indian spot left in his team, Warner said that he would either pick Yuzvendra Chahal or Kuldeep Yadav to complete the squad.
Only three players from Australia are present in the team. Shockingly, Warner picked himself in his all-time XI as in his opinion, he would open the innings with Rohit. Virat and Raina would bat at number three and four, while Hardik Pandya found himself at the number five position.

Another Aussie to feature in the XI is the hard-hitting all-rounder of Kings XI Punjab, Glenn Maxwell. It is the dream of every IPL fan to witness Pandya and Maxwell batting together in the middle. If Warner’s XI ever gets a chance to play on the field, the fans may get to see this deadly combo together. Adding MS Dhoni at number 7 makes this trio the most destructive lower order in T20I history.

The bowling attack also has the lethal duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Starc. Their toe-crushing Yorkers could have made life difficult for the batsmen. Thus, one can say that although Warner has left out the likes of Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Shane Watson, Amit Mishra, and Yuvraj Singh, from his team, his XI can still give any team in the world a run for their money.

Here is his full team:
