While cricket is considered as a religion, cricketers are no less than worshipped as Gods in India. Like other famous actors, cricketers too are famous in every age. While their records and numbers are much-talked matter worldwide, there are some things that sometimes remain unnoticed. 

While the players become household names, we fail to recognize their lesser-known siblings sometimes. Here we will look at famous cricketers and their brothers:

1. Saurav Ganguly and Snehasish Ganguly

Saurav Ganguly is considered as one of the best captains in world cricket. He is known as the one who brought changes in the Indian cricket team. However, it was his brother Snehasish Ganguly who introduced Saurav to cricket. It was Snehasish who was the reason why the right-handed Saurav started batting with his left hand as well.

Snehasish Ganguly was also a player and had played 10 years of domestic cricket for Bengal before joining his family business. Currently, he is associated with the Cricket Association of Bengal whereas Sourav Ganguly is the president of the BCCI

2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Narendra Singh Dhoni

MS Dhoni is a world-famous batsman. His finisher's role, captaincy, and the ice-cool brain are well-known as well. Moreover, he is the only captain to win all three ICC trophies.

Meanwhile, hardly few know about Narendra Singh Dhoni, the brother of MS Dhoni. Even, the biopic didn't show him as well. But he shared that he shares a good relationship with his brother. However, he was quoted as saying, “I may be non-existent in the movie because I don’t have many contributions in Mahi’s life — be it during his childhood, his struggle as a young man or after he became MSD for the world. The film is about Mahi, not his family.”

3. Rohit Sharma and Vishal Sharma

India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma is well-known worldwide as well. Ever since he has started opening for India, he has made several records too. But there are hardly a few who know about his brother - Vishal Sharma.

Vishal Sharma who is an Instagram influencer and shares a good bond with Rohit and family as well.

4. Rahul Dravid and Vijay Dravid

5. Yuvraj Singh and Zoravar Singh

6. Virat Kohli and Vikas Kohli

India captain Virat Kohli has a huge fan following worldwide. Kohli has already broken several records and is one of the batsmen who can break Sachin Tendulkar's batting record too. There is nothing which he hasn't achieved yet.

However, many don't know about his brother - Vikas Kohli who is an Indian music producer. He produces music that includes the likes of jazz, hip hop, punk, metal, country and Bollywood pop, etc. Moreover, his contribution to Virat Kohli’s career is not unknown as he took the responsibility of the family after the untimely demise of Virat’s father.
