James Neesham trolls Ishant Sharma for bowling 9-ball over

Ishant Sharma was not at his best while bowling the opening over of the England innings at Headingley. The veteran Indian fast bowler began the over with two no-balls and then bowled a wide after bowling his first legal delivery.

Team India did not score enough runs with the willow in the first innings, and then Ishant Sharma did not provide the team with the best of the starts. Sharma is an experienced fast bowler, who has played more than 100 Test matches.

For a player who has played so much cricket at the highest level, it is alright if he has a rough day in the office. However, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham tried to pull Sharma’s pull after that nine-ball over.

Neesham is popular on Twitter for his hilarious responses and epic replies related to the recent happenings in the cricket world. It seems like the Kiwi all-rounder is closely following the India vs. England Test match in Leeds.

What did Jimmy Neesham write about Ishant Sharma’s first over in the England innings?

Jimmy Neesham tried to troll Ishant Sharma by saying that he bowled an over as if he wished to be part of the Hundred competition that concluded in England recently. Here are the exact words of Neesham:

“Ishant obviously a big fan of The Hundred, keen to bowl 10 first up.”

In case you didn’t know, there was a weird rule in The Hundred competition that allowed bowlers to bowl even ten balls on a trot. It was the captain’s wish. A bowler can bowl a minimum of five balls at one go. But if the captain is happy, he can even allow him to bowl ten deliveries. Neesham, who has not played Test cricket since 2017, was a part of the Men’s Hundred competition, where he played for Welsh Fire.
