Ravichandran Ashwin's wife reacts after he does not mankad Aaron Finch in IPL 2020

Ravichandran Ashwin and mankading have gone hand in hand ever since the right-arm off-spin bowler ran out Jos Buttler before bowling the delivery in a match between the Kings XI Punjab and the Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 season. Ashwin had received a public warning from the Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting about this matter. Since Ashwin is a part of DC now, Ponting said that he should not practice that thing again. 

In the game between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Capitals played last night at the Dubai International Stadium in IPL 2020, Ashwin tried to mankad Aaron Finch by catching him outside his crease before bowling the delivery. However, this time, Ashwin did not decide to take off the bails on the non-striker’s end. 

Ashwin’s wife Preethi had an interesting reaction to this development as she sent out two tweets from her official Twitter handle after the aforementioned incident. In her first tweet, she wrote ‘Adrasakka’ which roughly means showing some excitement in a Tamil word.

The second tweet was a reply to one of the Twitter users named Abhishek D Shah. He wrote that Ashwin can single-handedly solve India’s border problems as no would dare to cross the line when he was guarding. In reply, Prithi wrote:

Thus, Prithi Ashwin reacted to this incident in a funny and light manner. Everyone enjoyed this light moment. Speaking of Ashwin, the right-arm off-spinner dismissed Devdutt Padikkal of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team that helped DC eventually beat RCB by a big margin. 

The Capitals are at the top of the points table now with 8 points in five matches. They are among the favorites to win the IPL title in 2020. It will be interesting to see if there are mankad run outs in IPL 2020.
