Watch: Suryakumar Yadav enjoys his own innings after match ends

Suryakumar Yadav played his first T20I inning for the Indian cricket team in the fourth T20I against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The right-handed batsman made a stunning start to his inning as he hit a first-ball six.

Yadav completed his half-century and then lost his wicket in an unlucky manner. His fifty helped the Indian cricket team level the series 2-2, with the fifth match still to go in this series.

Suryakumar Yadav performed brilliantly, and after the match ended, he even watched his own highlights. His wife Devisha Shetty posted the video of Suryakumar watching his inning after the match ended on her Instagram story.

She even called him ‘crazy’ for always watching his highlights, his best shots, and boundaries after the match ended. Suryakumar Yadav has possibly cemented his place in the Indian cricket team with his phenomenal performance in his first-ever T20I match.

Many fans would know that Suryakumar had waited for a very long time before getting his opportunity to bat for India. He made it to the T20I squad for the England series and warmed the bench in the first T20I of the 5-match series.

Next, he earned his maiden cap in the 2nd T20I. However, the Indian cricket team won the match even before Suryakumar got a chance to bat for the team. Ishan Kishan’s half-century guided the team home.

In the 3rd T20I, India benched him to include Rohit Sharma in the playing XI. While Yadav would have missed the fourth T20I as well had it not been for Ishan Kishan’s groin strain. Ishan’s injury prompted the Indian cricket team to include Yadav in the playing XI.

As the openers could not get going, Yadav got an opportunity to bat higher up the order, and he grabbed that chance with both hands.
