The Rock opens up about return to WWE, Potential match against Roman Reigns
There is a certain rumour going around between several of WWE enthusiasts and insiders that The Rock might very well make a return to the wrestling ring for a final clash against his cousin, and current WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
As WWE Universal Champion, he has been dispatching opposition left and right, resulting in an intriguing tendency.
Roman Reigns has become the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion, now have held the Universal Championship for 436 days. He has defeated many top WWE wrestlers to keep hold of his title, among them are Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Finn Balor, Edge, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio and many more.
But the one certain match that the entire WWE Universe wants to see the match between the two cousins, Roman Reigns and The Rock.
There were rumours earlier that there was a plan for the big match to be scheduled for this year bygone WrestleMania, however, that didn't materialize due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, The Rock joined Comicbook.com for a chat about his future endeavours. During that, The Rock spoke about the dream match against Roman Reigns.
The Rock said that he may not have any more title run in him left, however, he said that there must be a match down the line in future.
He further added that Roman Reigns is keeping in sharpening his skills. He added that he is in touch with Roman Reigns and they talk very often and he encourages Roman Reigns to keep doing what he is doing.
He further praised Roman Reigns, said that Reigns is doing exceptional work with the mic during his promos and also praised his in-ring work. And he rounded it off saying "We will see later down the road."
According to reports, the personnel in WWE really wants do The Rock vs Roman Reigns match for the WWE Universal Championship in next year's WrestleMania and the plan is involve The Rock into The Bloodline (Reigns, Jey and Jimmy Uso) storyline after the Royal Rumble event.
