Prithvi Shaw opens up on his relationship status

Star Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw has made a name for himself with his fantastic batting performances at the top of the order for his teams. The right-handed batter scored a magnificent ton against the West Indies cricket team on his Test debut. 

Many fans would remember that Shaw also won the U-19 World Cup as the Indian captain, while he has reached the playoffs of the last three seasons of the Indian Premier League as a member of the Delhi Capitals team. 

Shaw was also a member of the Indian squad that beat Australia in an away Test series last year. The right-handed batter has a bright future, and he was enjoying his time off the field recently. 

The former India U-19 cricket team captain appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show recently, where he was asked about his relationship status by the show’s host Kapil Sharma. 

According to rumors, Prithvi Shaw is in a relationship with model and actress Prachi Singh. However, the cricketer straightaway said no to Kapil that he does not have a girlfriend right now. 

Ricky Ponting feels Prithvi Shaw plays the short ball better than any Indian batter

Prithvi Shaw has spent a lot of time with former Australian cricket team captain Ricky Ponting. Ponting is the head coach of the Delhi Capitals team. In a recent interview, Ponting heaped praise on Shaw’s batting skills. 

Here’s what Ponting had to say: 

“Prithvi Shaw is so good. Technically, in Australia last summer, he wasn't ready. He is an exceptional talent. At the start of the IPL in the first half in India this year, he was as good as I have ever seen anyone bat, both off the front and the back foot. The way he picks the bat up, he plays the short ball better than any Indian.”
