Ravichandran Ashwin picks the best wicket-keeper from Dhoni, Saha and Karthik

Ravichandran Ashwin organised an #AskAsh session for his fans, where he took questions from his fans on social media and answered them on a special YouTube video titled 40 Shades of Ash. 

One of the questions was about the wicket-keepers in India. Ravichandran Ashwin got an opportunity to bowl when MS Dhoni, Wriddhiman Saha and Dinesh Karthik were the wicket-keepers. 

He felt Dhoni was the number one among the three because of his ability to execute every catch and stumping possible. Ashwin also remembered a famous dismissal of Ed Cowan from India’s home series against Australia, where the ball did not bounce much, but Dhoni grabbed it well and stumped out Cowan. 

As per Ravichandran Ashwin, Wriddhiman Saha is also not far behind. Here’s what the Tamil Nadu all-rounder had to say: 

“Dhoni, Saha and DK - in that order, you can take the answer. It is very difficult to separate them behind the stumps. I’ve played a lot of cricket with Dinesh in Tamil Nadu. But if I’ve to pick one.. I think some really really tough dismissals have been made look easy just the man behind the stumps (MS Dhoni).”

Ravichandran Ashwin desires to return to the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 

Many fans would know that the Delhi Capitals have not retained Ravichandran Ashwin ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The right-arm off-spinner will be back in the auction pool, and on his official YouTube channel, Ashwin stated that he is ready to return to CSK, his home franchise, if the auction dynamics work in favour. 

MS Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin have played a lot of cricket together. They have represented India, Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiant together. It will be interesting to see if the fans will get an opportunity to see both players together in IPL 2022.
