PKL 2021: List of players Retained and Released by Bengaluru Bulls

We are just a few nights of sleep away from the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League player auction for the upcoming season of PKL; the auction will take place from the 29th of August till the 31st of August.

And before the grand day, all the 12 teams have announced the list of players each team has released. Today, we take a look at the players retained or released by Bengaluru Bulls. Also, check out the list of players retained or released by Telugu Titans by clicking Here.

Retention Rules: The VIVO Pro Kabaddi League allows up to 12 players maximum to be retained for the next season, of which a maximum of 6 elite players (who are experienced PKL player) can be retained while a maximum of 6 young players (who have come through the young player programme) can be retained.

The most significant player to make the cut into the Bengaluru Bulls team for next season is raider Pawan Kumar Sehrawat. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat is in his 2nd stint with the team, having played for them in seasons 3 and 4 and returning from Gujarat Fortune Giant after 1 season with them.

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat has appeared in a total of five seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League and has played 80 matches in which he has garnered a total of 716 points, of which 682 points are raid points.

Amit Sheoran joins Pawan Kumar as an Elite Retained Player for Bengaluru Bulls. Amit Sheoran, the defender, has been playing for the Bengaluru Bulls for the entire of his Pro Kabaddi League career. He has played a total of 43 matches in 3 seasons and has scored 89 total points (88 tackle point).

Saurabh Nandal, Banty and Mohit Sehrawat are the other players who Bengaluru Bulls have retained.

The big-name missing from Bengaluru Bulls' retained players list is their captain and star raider Rohit Kumar. The star raider, who was a hit on his debut season itself for Patna Pirates, joined Bengaluru Bulls from the following season, but he was out of form last season, and as a result, he has been released. He has played 91 matches and has scored 711 total points.

Another notable name who has not been retained is defender Mahender Singh. He has also started his Pro Kabaddi League journey with Bengaluru Bulls, but it all comes to an end after 67 matches, in which he scored 182 total points.
