The Indian Premier League and the Caribbean Premier League feature some top-quality franchises who entertain the fans with their brilliant cricket on the field. Many CPL stars have made a name for themselves in the IPL with their good performances.

There are some common team owners in the two leagues. The Knight Riders represent Kolkata in the Indian Premier League and they represent Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Premier League. Similarly, the Punjab Kings owners are also the owners of the St. Lucia Zouks in the Caribbean Premier League.

Speaking of IPL and CPL, here are five duos of players who have been a part of the same team in two of the top T20 leagues in the world.

Shakib Al Hasan and Jason Holder are two of the top all-rounders in world cricket. Both players have captained their respective teams at the international level.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder and the Caribbean all-rounder were teammates at Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League. Three years later, Holder and Shakib played together for the Barbados Tridents.

2. David Warner and Daren Sammy

David Warner played in the 2018 edition of the Caribbean Premier League after the infamous ball-tampering scandal. Warner was a part of the St. Lucia Zouks squad in that season.

Warner played for the same team as his ex-Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Daren Sammy. The two players have even played the skipper's role for SRH in the Indian Premier League.

3. Andre Russell and Chris Lynn - IPL and CPL teammates in the same year
