Subhranshu Senapati of Odisha has become the talk of the town after the reports emerged claiming that he has been called up by the defending champions of the Indian Premier League Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for trials.
The Chennai Super Kings have retained a total of four players ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. They are Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad. They now need to fill the rest of vacant spots with some match-winners.
Like every other IPL franchise, the Chennai Super Kings organizes trials every year for the domestic cricketers. According to Odisha Cricket Association, the state’s number three batter Subhranshu Senapati has received an opportunity to trial for CSK.
Subhranshu Senapati will be in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, and it should not be a surprise if the Chennai Super Kings end up signing him because he is an exceptional talent who can bat well in the top-order of the team.

Fans should note that former Indian batter Wasim Jaffer is the coach of the Odisha domestic cricket team. So, there could be a bidding war between CSK and Punjab Kings for Senapati because Jaffer is present in the coaching staff of the Punjab Kings team in the IPL as well.
